Filmmakers, athletes, and enthusiasts gathered in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah to celebrate action sports culture at the 2011 GoPro X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival. FirstCom Music was pleased to be a sponsor of the event, which took place January 22-25. Additionally, FirstCom delivered a compelling and educational presentation on music licensing that specifically related to new media rights entitled: “Velocity by FirstCom: Getting the right music in your film right now”.

Ken Nelson - Sr. Vice President/Executive Producer and Lonnie Sill - Director of Film and TV, shared music from their action sports libraries, Velocity and SEE, where filmmakers can get pre-cleared tracks for their films in a one-stop revolutionary sync licensing and audio/visual audition platform. They were also on hand to answer questions and offer the filmmakers details about FirstCom’s incredible music services.

Over 5,000 people attended the 4-day festival.
